Hello ASTRA members! I am very excited to bring you some extremely valuable material in my session: Leasing a Space? Maximize Your Safety & Profit with Little-Known Lease Tips.
Fact: Ninety-nine percent of business owners do not negotiate their lease adequately. They leave in dangerous clauses and “lease-landmines”. They don’t know what they don’t know. I am going to show you how to fix that, and will be bringing you actual examples of problems and fixes. After we are done, your lease will be safer, more flexible, and probably less expensive.
Quick example: Unexpected sickness, dramatic industry changes, retirement or sale of the business . . . these are all COMMON occurrences, that are not dealt with in most lease! We need to cure that!
So, have a specific question? Bring it! I love pop-quizzes.
Have a lease you want me to comment on? Bring it with you and we’ll discuss it. Many in the room probably have the same issue.
I am not an attorney and won’t be giving legal advice, but I WILL give you suggestions and solutions you can bring back to your attorney for their review and approval. Business terms of leases? I think I have seen them all as I negotiate leases and space acquisitions every day.
Finally, it may not make it into my formal presentation, but if someone reminds me, I will tell you how a client made $3 million dollars with a simple lease clause! Ah, the power of wisdom and creativity!
So I look forward to seeing you there, and I will be staying the rest of the day in case anyone wants some personal attention at no charge.
